Treating brown spots on the skin

Long summer days in the sun and water increase our risk of skin cancer, as well as wrinkles, brown spots and prematurely aging skin.  In addition to sunblock, we strongly recommend that you wear sun protective clothing to shield your skin from the sun's ultraviolet (UV) radiation.  Sun protective clothing is specially woven and treated to absorb and block harmful rays.  If you are spending time in the water, swimmer shirts or rash guards have been shown to block 90 % of the sun's rays.

In addition to sun protective clothing, always wear your sunblock, reapplying every two hours or more frequently if you are swimming.

Nearly 3.7 million skin cancers are diagnosed in the United States each year, the majority of them caused by UV radiation.  Our office has a wide selection of sunscreen brands to meet your needs. Let us know how we can help you to be sun smart this season.
